My 2 bedroom, ground floor condo in Pompano is $1800 a year & does not include windstorm or flood. The price has tripled in 3 years. Many of the large companies like State Farm & Allstate no longer offer home owner insurance in Florida. Shop around, expect it to be expensive & remember huricaine season is June 1 to Dec 1.

Why didn’t you tell me you were thinking about moving here?

You are considered a High risk property – due to hurricanes- you might want to check out Homesite Ins if it is available… that is who I go through but I am not in FL either.
